Article 9: Race Incidents at the Finish


UCI Article No. 2.6.027 will apply:

In the case of a duly noted fall, puncture or mechanical incident in the last three kilometers of a road race stage, the rider or riders involved shall be credited with the time of the rider or riders in whose company they were riding at the time of the incident. His or their placing shall be determined by the order in which he or they actually cross the finishing line.

If, as the result of a duly noted fall in the last three kilometers, a rider cannot cross the finishing line, he shall be placed last in the stage and credited with the time of the rider or riders in whose company he was riding at the time of the fall.


Article 10: Bonuses


In accordance with UCI Article 2.6.019, the following time bonuses will be awarded:

1) Stage Classification: 10, 6 and 4 seconds for the first three riders.

2) Intermediate sprints: 3, 2 and 1 second for the first three riders. 


Article 11: Finishing Time Limit


Taking into account the characteristics of each stage, the finishing time limits have been set as follows:

TOC I:

Stage 1:  10%

Stage 2, 3, 4:  16%

Stage 5, 6, 7:  8%

TOC II:

Prologue: 30%

Stage 1, 2, 3:  8%

Stage 4:  25%

Stage 5:  10%

The time limit may, in exceptional circumstances, be increased by the Commissaries’ Panel in agreement with the Organizer in accordance with UCI Article 2.6.032.

Article 12: Classifications


1. General Individual Classification on Time (Yellow Jersey):

The times as recorded by the timekeeper-commissaries shall be entered in the individual general time classifications. Bonuses are only taken into consideration for the individual general classification.

Where two or more riders make the same time in the general individual classification time placing, the fractions of a second registered during individual time trials (including the prologue) shall be added back into the total time to decide the order.

If the result is still tied or if there are no individual time trial stages the placings obtained in each stage, except team time trial stages, shall be added and, as a last resort, the place obtained in the last stage ridden shall be taken into consideration.

The leader of the general individual classification will receive a daily award and will wear a yellow jersey in the race.

2. Team General Classification on Time:

The team classification for the day shall be calculated on the basis of the sum of the first three best individual times from each team. In the event of a tie, the teams shall be separated by the sum of the places acquired by their three best times on the stage. If the teams are still tied, they shall be separated by the placing of their best rider on the stage classification.

The team general classification shall be calculated on the basis of the sum of the three best individual times from each team in each stage ridden. In the event of a draw, the following criteria shall be applied in order until the teams are separated:

1)Numbers of first place in the daily team classifications;

2)Numbers of second places in the daily team classifications etc.

If there is still a draw, the teams shall be separated by the placing of their best rider in the general individual classification.

Any team reduced to fewer than three riders shall be eliminated from the general team classification.

3.General Individual Classification on Points (Blue Jersey):

The general individual classification by points is drawn up by totaling the points awarded in each stage finish, and in the intermediate sprints. The following points will be awarded:

Stage finish: 10, 8, 6, 4 and 2 points to the first 5 riders.

Intermediate sprint: 5, 3 and 1 point to the first 3 riders.

In accordance with UCI article 2.6.017 in the event of a tie in the general classification by points, the following criteria shall be applied in order until the riders are separated:

1) number of stage wins;

2) number of wins in intermediate sprints counting for the general classification on points;

3) general individual classification by time.

The first 3 riders of each intermediate sprint will receive a daily award.

The leader of the general individual classification on points will receive a daily award and will wear a blue jersey in the race.

 

Points are awarded for each of the intermediate sprints :

4. General Individual Mountains Classification (Polka-Dot Jersey):

A general individual mountains classification is to be contested over the categorized climbs for each tour. In accordance with UCI article 2.6.017 in the event of a tie the following criteria shall be applied in order until the riders are separated:

1)number of first places in the highest category climbs;

2)number of first places on climbs in the next inferior category and so on;

3)general individual classification by time.

Points are awarded for each of the climbs during:

Points for each category:

1st category climb: 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, and 1 point for the first seven riders.

2nd category climb: 8, 6, 4, 2, and 1 point for the first five riders.

3rd category climb: 4, 2 and 1 point for the first three riders.

4th category climb: 2 and 1 point for the first two riders.

Riders of each stages’ “KOM” classification will receive a daily award.

The leader of the general individual classification on points will receive a daily award and will wear a Polka-dot jersey in the race.

 

5. Individual Greater China General Classification (White Jersey):

The Greater China Individual Classification is contested by riders with their licence issued by the National Federation of China, Hong Kong China, Macau China, or Chinese Taipei. The rider who receives The Best Greater China Individual General Classification will wear a white jersey and receive an award.

6. Greater China Team General Classification:

The Greater China team classification given to a Great China team with 3 or more Greater China riders. It shall be decided according to the position of Greater China riders from the Greater China team in the general team classification. (See Article no. 12 item 2.)

7. Individual Asian Classification:

The general individual classification for Asian riders is competed for by riders registered with an Asian federation, riding for an Asian-registered team.

The classification is decided according to their ranking in the general individual classification (Art. No.12 item 1).

8. Asian Team General Classification:

The Asian team general classification is decided according to the position of the best 3 Asian riders from an Asian team in the general team classification. (See Art. no. 12 item 2.)

9. Leader's Jersey:

The leader of each classification shall be required to wear the corresponding distinctive jersey.

If a rider is leading more than one classification, the order of priority of the distinctive jerseys shall be as follows:

1) General Individual classification by time (Yellow Jersey);

2) General Individual classification by points (Blue Jersey);

3) General Individual Mountains classification (Polka-Dot Jersey);

4) General Individual Greater China classification (White Jersey).

In this situation, the organizer may require another rider next on the relevant classification to wear a jersey which is not being worn by the leader of that classification. However, if this rider must wear his world or national champion's jersey, or the leader's jersey of a UCI cup, circuit, series or classification, he shall wear that jersey.
